Get there early. #6 is difficult to find as 2 restaurants with long lines block your view of multiple ticket booths. At the opening from the piazza closest the the long narrow dock. Lines to board are long with no idea where tboat is really coming in. Just find your boarding dock number and get to the front of the hypothetical line.

The port is busy and queing is difficult but the staff was there to help and guide. In the States we line up single fill in the order that you arrive and in Europe that is not tolerated but it is like marathon race, all bunched up the first one across the finish line wins.

Really good overall. Logistics are clear and obvious in each port. We booked on the 10.10am departure from Sorrento....we arrived in Positano about 11.30am.....left 1.30pm, arrived in Amalfi just after 2pm, and left Amalfi at 4.40pm. It's a great option if you want to do Positano and Amalfi in one go.....we ended up returning to Positano the following day as we liked it so much, and wanted longer to explore.
