The tour begins when you reach Pompei by train from Sorrento. A private transfer will take you to "Sorrentino Winery" from Pompeii Scavi Station. First you will meet the family owners of the winery with a welcome drink. Then take a stroll through the vines, some of which are hundreds of years old and learn about their process of organic farming without the use of pesticides. Be captivated by the history of the vineyard and by the wonderful views across the bay. Enjoy a 4-course lunch prepared with local and homemade products. Each dish will be accompanied by the various wines they produce on the slopes of the Mount Vesuvius. Children can enjoy soft drinks and juices. Following the tour and lunch, transfer back to Pompeii Scavi Station.

The whole experience is over priced and not worth considering. The experience consisted of a 5 minute walk in the vineyards and that was about it. We were not shown the wine cellars or the place were they do the wine or anything you would expect from such an experience. Through the whole experience they served us 5 different wines served in the SAME wine glass. The food served for the price we paid consisted only of a bruschetta, spagetti and and some vegetables and salami. Huge rip off!

Unfortunately, I didn't like this tour at all and it was badly organized. According to the booking, the tour starts at 1:00 p.m. with the meeting point in Sorrento at the train station. An email was sent the day before the tour stating that Pompeii would start at 1:00 p.m., but who reads their emails every day while on vacation. With the other organizers, you could easily get an email or a WhatsApp within one to two days after booking. Besides, it has nothing to do with wine cellars. You are driven to a winery, have lunch there - which was very tasty, is given five wines, is then guided around the facility and then drives back again. Very disappointing!

not one part of this was worth £80

The wine tour? Lasted 10 minutes max. The food? Plain, bad, like a school dinner. The bruschetta was literally a slice of bread with old tomatoes, the pasta was spaghetti and tomato sauce and the dessert was a slice of dry cake with apricot jam. The view was lovely, as was the wine, but don’t expect to get merry - you’re barely given more than a fingers worth in the glass. They could have made this so amazing just by tweaking the food alone.
