Son Amar offers one of the best variety shows in Europe here at the heart of Mallorca. We have more than 40 artists on stage every evening and around 200 service staff taking care of our guests. After a reconfiguration the theatre has now an availability of almost 1000 seats, divided in three different categories with Dinner and one without. The distribution is now much more comfortable than in the early years and of course fulfilling all security requirements. Son Amar is a very exclusive place and so is the infrastructure. The re-building of the big water fountain at the Royal Terrace is another example. The new tank has a capacity of more than 120.000 litres in a closed circuit, so we don´t waste water. There are over 500 LED lights providing a spectacular show of light and water effects. But not just our show and service are up to date. We are also aware of one of the big challenges in this 21st century which is the commitment to the environment. At Son Amar we have modified processes that makes us to one of the most sustainable companies in the world. For example, in the past we had around 30m3 of waste every day. With our recycling system we are now at 1m3 every 12 weeks. We recycle seven different types of plastics and we audit our providers to do the same. Most of the products we use are of local production and some of the vegetables and fruits are from our own garden. We do not use any kind of fertilizer, we recycle water and we have solar energy system for the electricity. Due to our commitment and responsibility to the environment we created this year the Son Amar Foundation to support all kind of green initiatives.
