Helsinki: Archipelago RIB Boat Tour with BBQ Lunch and Sauna

1. Helsinki: Archipelago RIB Boat Tour with BBQ Lunch and Sauna

Depart from Helsinki and explore the vast archipelago located east of the capital. Discover some of the 170,000 islands by boat as your guide provides more information about local nature and wildlife. See the beautiful island of Villinki with its unique channel surrounded by majestic cliffs and summer villas. Near the outskirts of the archipelago, reach the recreational island where you will disembark the boat and go ashore. Explore the island on a short walking tour and learn more about local flora and fauna. Over an open campfire, hear more about how the archipelago developed after the last ice age. Then, enjoy a hearty BBQ lunch of traditional meats with homemade traditional salmon soup, served with dark rye bread. After lunch, enjoy some free time to explore the island. Visit the public sauna for a bath, swim in the sea, or enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings. Finally, hop back on the boat for the journey back to Helsinki.

Fantastic!

Sipoonkorpi National park is, especially during winter, quite poorly marked with regards to trails. Already because of that, going with Mikhail on a tour comes highly recommended! We went on this hike together with another couple we hadn't met prior to the tour (making 5 people in total). From Mikhail we heard that such 'large' groups are very uncommon, but we still enjoyed it thoroughly. Mikhail is very knowledgeable on all flora, fauna, and also on all the glacier-rocks scattered about. Mikhail is a good conversationalist and will make sure you will enjoy your hike. He can also provide good tips on what to do in Helsinki to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!

The walking pace was good and I enjoyed it very much. Since the temperature has already dropped to below zero in this season, it is necessary to take measures against cold. It takes about 45 minutes by public bus and walks 3 to 4 hours in the natural park.

A beautiful day in amazing woodland. Fabulous air and interesting nature. Our guide was full of information about plants, animals and rock formations and even bought a traditional snack for us to try.

An excellent day spent walking through the park. The guide, Mikhail was very informative with regards to the area, the wildlife and the nature in general. A very enjoyable time spent in the park.

the guide know a lot. he's really friendly and kind. he taught us a lot about finnish nature and customs as well as finnish history.
