We met at Praca de Luis Camoes where the party was divided into groups according to the language they had booked. We went to the station (Rossio) together and took a train to Sintra (ca. 40 minutes). There we had our first stop to have queijadas, coffee or anything else that needed to be done. We proceeded to the town hall and received the first talk on everything concerning the design of the buidling. We then went around town, the guide told us a lot about our surroundings and the history of the place. The last stop was Quinta de Regaleira after a short lunch break where we learned a lot about free masonry and the architectural design of the park. After a (a bit rushed) tour through the main building, our guide gave us tips as to what we could do in Sintra after his tour and he let us off after explaining how to get back to the station. The entrance for Regaleira was included in the price of the tour, lunch was not.

It did not start so well because you could not use the ticket directly on the bus and therefore had to walk three km to redeem the ticket instead of being able to take the bus right at the hotel. If you are not in a hurry, this is a great way to visit all of Sintra's sights. You get all the way, get good guidance in everything you ask the bus driver. It is also very affordable and convenient. However, the buses do not have a timetable in the center, but you may have to wait for 45 minutes, after the estimated departure time. I spent a total of about 2.5 hours waiting for different buses, so it's good if you are not in a hurry. The buses cover all the main sights as well as transport from Cascais / Estoril (however, there is nowhere to pick up the ticket in Estoril but you have to walk 3 km to Cascais first).

It’s not a half day tour it starts at 09:30 and finishes by 05:00 . Make sure you get packed lunch as there is no time on the tour . Also it doesn’t cover Pene . But would strongly recommend it as our guide Jamie was very informative .

Sintra is beautiful, our guide led us in a funny and informative way. If you wanted you could go on looking alone but there is not enough time for everything as there is a lot to see.

Safe and on time.

Driver was beautifully on time, spoke English fluently and helped us enormously well with arranging a wheelchair on the AirPort, compliments.
