Walking along the promenade towards the center of the village, admire the statues displayed along the way. After a brief stop at the Moorish fountain, head into the historical center. Now it's time to have a tasting of the typical pastry from Sintra, the famous Travesseiro. Enjoy the impressive views of Moorish castle from the National Palace. Next, head towards the Palace of Seteais, passing by the church of San Martinho, the oldest hotel on the Iberian Peninsula, and a small romantic waterfall. A big 10/10 for the young guide! But this tour should be better organized. There is the tour in the historical center of Sintra but the most important and interesting part of the tour is the guided visit to the gardens and palace of Quinta da Regaleire. But then we still had to pay entrance tickets (20 euros) for this. If you don't do this, you pay 48 euros for Sintra only + a pastry (excursion of less than 1 hour).

Very knowledgeable guide but it was not obvious at the time of registration that the ticket for the visit to Quinta da Regaleira was not included in the price. In addition, this visit was rather a maximum of 2h30 (announced as being 3h) and we also had to wait for people who joined us, which again cut down on the time devoted to the visit.

Anna was an open and welcoming guide. Funny and personable, she took time to look out for and make connections with everyone! She kept her cool (even in the face of a personal crisis) and managed to keep the tour going smoothly despite having to wait for, or connect at unplanned spots to accommodate late comers. We had a great time on our tour and would definitely do it again!
