This was such a fun and unique experience! The team did a great job of making us comfortable (and warm) even though the water was freezing. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and funny—Pablo did a great job! The snorkling itself was very cool. You wear a dry suit so you don’t get wet (except your head) and the suit keeps you warm. Only your lips/chin are directly exposed to the water, so although those parts of your face are cold, the rest of you is quite warm. Since the water is extremely clear, as you float along the water (there is a current, so only minimal swimming is required, and the dry suits are pretty buoyant), it feels like you are floating and looking through glass. You see the rock formation of the fissure and “troll’s hair” algae, which is very unique. I would definitely recommend this experience! It was one of our favorite things we did in Iceland.

Vanessa was professional, reassuring, empathetic and fun. From the moment we met Vanessa she was able to put us at ease and then we were relaxed. I was so worried to be cold. The only cold area was my hands. The ‘suiting up’ was so professionally don e, that I felt all confidence in the activity. The care in the water is wonderful and the experience is all that it’s cracked up to be. Great afternoon Fantastic guide (Vanessa) Professional business Thank you xx

Stassio was a great guide for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I would highly recommend as the water was beautiful and clear and we felt safe the entire time. The staff were very friendly and communicated very clearly. They were very attentive and knowledgeable about the dry suits and made sure we were comfortable with all of our gear before heading into the water.
