Join us for a short bear-watching adventure tour in the forests near Brasov, together with a specialized forest ranger. For 2-3 hours, you are in their wild territory; you can observe their behavior, and we guarantee you a truly unique experience. Admire the animals from a specially designed observation hideaway. Meet the driver in the city center in the late afternoon and then travel to the forest, where you will join up with a ranger. After roughly 40 minutes, will be a short briefing and yоu will gо thrоugh thе fоrеst (walk for a short distance) until you rеасh thе bеаr hidе, situаtеd dеер in thе fоrеst. Wait quietly for the wildlife to come out. Sometimes, they are already there, so make sure your walk through the forest is as quiet as possible. It's also possible that other animals will show up (foxes, deer, game birds), so you have a chance to spot other wildlife. Take photos of the bears and capture unique moments with your camera!

Your tour will begin as you are taken from your hotel in Brasov by a professional guide. Once having departed Brasov, you will travel to the most spectacular road in Europe: Transfagarasan. You will stop first and visit the Carta Cistercian Monastery .the monastery was built at the beginning of the 13th century, in the Gothic style, by the Cistercian monks who came to Transylvania from Burgundy, France. You will then continue to the mountains which host the Transfagarasan Highway, the most spectacular and beautiful mountain road in Europe. The road has been featured on the UK motor show Top Gear, and traverses up through the mountains uniting Transylvania with Valachia. Whilst there you will experience great scenes, noisy waterfalls, and with some luck you may even see wild animals such as the brown bear or black goats. Moving onward, you will travel to the Balea Glacier Lake, where you will have lunch at the Lake Balea Chalet. You can then take a walk around the lake, and in summer can also climb up the slope near the lake. From the top of this ridge you will have wonderful pictures with the peaks of the surrounding mountains and the lake and cottage Balea. In the winter between December and March you can visit the ice hotel, as well as the neighboring ice church. You will later return to Brasov in the evening, with wonderful memories of your trip into the sky. During the winter between November and July, we will go up by van to the hotel Cascada Balea 1446m (above the road is closed due to snow), from where we will take the cable car up to Lake Balea. The price of the cable car (100 lei - 24 euros uphill) + descent) is not included in the price of the tour.

The Transfăgărășan is a paved mountain road crossing the Carpathian Mountains, is the second-highest paved road in the country with an altitude of 2,042 metres (6,699 ft). The road also provides access to Bâlea Lake a glacier lake situated at 2,034 m of altitude. Here we will benefit from the fresh air and low temperature, admire the view of Trasnsilvania and have lunch. On the way back we will admire Bâlea waterfall, we'll stop at the Vidraru Dam to refresh us. It is very possible to meet brown bears on the route. On our way we will be able to see on a mountaintop a fortress built by Vlad the Impaler. This is Poienari fortress.

Bran Castle- or, for those who are keen on horror films and dark tales of ghouls, vampires and evil spirits, Dracula’s Castle, the Romanian voivode (Vlad Dracul- Dracula) who inspired Bram Stoker in creating the famous bloodthirsty character.

In the morning you will start your journey towards the Fagaras Mountains, some of the most massive and beautiful mountains in Romania, also named the Transylvanian Alps. Your first stop will be in the town named Curtea de Arges, at the bottom of the Fagaras Mountains, where you will visit one of the most remarkable monasteries in Romania. Next you will make a stop at the foot of the Poenari Citadel, a stronghold that became famous thanks to Dracula's Legend. From here you will be taken to Romania's most beautiful road, named by Top Gear "the best road in the world", the Transfagarasan, the second-highest road in Romania. The road reaches its highest point of 2034m at the Balea Lake. Here you will have an hour and a half break to enjoy the beauty of this place. You have numerous possibilities: a cable car trip between Balea Lake and Balea Waterfall; lunch in one of the chalets; or picnic or hike around this beautiful area. With your batteries fully charged, you will now drive back to Bucharest arriving at around 20:00.

You'll start from Brasov with a short car drive to Zarnesti where the foot of mount Piatra Craiului is . From there you'll start hiking the trail up to Curmatura Chalet (1470 m altitude) viziting in your way the famous Zarnesti Gorges. At Curmatura Chalet you'll take a brake to admire the mountain peaks that surround the National Park and to enjoy a delicios apple pie prepared by locals. In the way down you'll hike a different way , throught the forest along the narrow paths that take you back to civilization .

Hairpins, tunnels, and sweeping mountain views await on a private day trip on the Tranfagarasan Highway through the Fagaras Mountains. Located in the Fagaraș Mountains, Balea Lake is a spectacular landmark on your day trip from Sibiu. The lake formed after glaciers melted away, leaving a huge void carved into the rugged stones. Visit the partly-ruined Cistercian Abbey in Carta. Admire impressive architecture featuring capitals, keystones, windows, and a 15th-century western portal that still remains. Today the church is frequented by the evangelical community of Carta. Continue to The Brukenthal, a stately palace from 1788, formerly used as the summer residence of Transylvanian Baron Samuel von Brukenthal. Visitors to the historic Brukenthal Palace can enjoy the Baroque architecture and the large landscaped palace park.

We will depart in the morning from Braşov and drive to the mountains, just outside of Zărneşti. Here we will visit the Bear Sanctuary Liberty, one of the most interesting wildlife conservation projects: almost one hundred brown bears have been brought from old zoos and illegal animal parks, and have found a much better life here. From here we will drive to the Piatra Craiului Mountains and prepare for a 5-hour hike to one of Romania’s most beautiful scenery: lively coloured meadows, migrating sheep herds and isolated mountain villages will enchant us all day long. At noon we will enjoy a delicious picnic with traditional homemade sausages and cheese. In the evening we will return to Brasov.

Day 1: Two Castles and Brasov Today, you will head towards Transylvania region and cross the mighty Carpathian Mountains on your way. You will arrive in the mountain resort of Sinaia and visit the impressive Peles Castle. Next, you will arrive in Bran village, where Romania’s most visited sight awaits you - Dracula Castle. Your next stop will be in Brasov, where you will enjoy a guided city tour and visit the famous Black Church - the largest in country. Accommodation will follow in Brasov city. Note: Peles Castle and the Black Church are closed on Mondays, so you will visit Rasnov Citadel and the orthodox church in Brasov instead. Day 2: Heart of Transylvania   In the morning after breakfast, you will visit the unique Sighisoara Citadel with the famous Dracula house. Next, arrive in Biertan, where you will see the biggest fortified church in Romania. Then, head towards Sibiu city, one of the most beautiful in Transylvania. You will visit the astonishing Old Town and the beautiful Gothic church, one of the tallest in the country. End your day in Sibiu city. Day 3: Southern Transylvania  In the morning after your breakfast, start your way back to the capital city. Your journey will continue on toward the beautiful Olt Valley and make a stop by the charming Cozia Orthodox Monastery. Once you emerge from the mountains, stop in Curtea de Arges, once the capital of Vallachia and the headquarters of Romanian rulers. Here, you will see the beautiful Curtea de Arges Monastery, one of the most representative of the Romanian authentic style, and also the official burial place for the Kings and Queens of Romania. Arrive in Bucharest in the evening with a private drop-off at your hotel.
