    Full description
    Cathedral of Seville is the biggest gothic temple in the world. The construction of this monument was dated back to the 15th century. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Learn about the origin of the Cathedral that was built over the Mezquita Aljama in the city, the bell tower Giralda over the minaret of the mosque, and the courtyard of orange trees over the ablutions courtyard. Giralda is the bell tower for the Cathedral of Seville and reaches a height of 104 meters, where you will find one of the best views in the city. The tour continues to the Alcazar, one of the most important royal palaces still in use in Europe. This fortified palace was built during different historical times, Islamic motifs, Baroque, Renaissance, and others. It was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. This royal palace is still the official residence for the Royal Spanish family when they visit the city. To determine its origin one must go back to the middle ages, from this period the Alcazar was incorporating different styles from the Islamic and Christian reminiscences.

    Very informative tour of the Alcazar and Cathedral with José. We met our guide José on time and started with a detailed tour of the Alcazar and had some time afterwards to explore the gardens. We learned many things about the construction and history of the Alcazar which we would not have understood if just walking around on our own. Afterwards, we regrouped and headed over to the cathedral which was equally amazing to see. After José had shown us the highlights and history of the cathedral, we were able to walk up the ramps to see the Giralda on our own. All the sights were crowded on the day we visited and having a guide to show us around was a must. Definitely book this experience if you want to see the main sights in Seville and to make the most of your time.

    As I was doing all the monuments, the palace was a bit rushed for me as I love taking pics. However, as there were only 3 of us at the Cathedral, it was fantastic and I was able to go up the Tower. The passion and enthusiasm of the guide meant the tour was very interesting and I would recomme d it highly

    Great few hours seeing 2 of the main attractions in Seville.

    Wanted to visit Alcazar next day but tickets sold out, didn't realise it was best to book online in advance. You can queue on the day but it can take up to 3 hours to get a ticket. So looked online and found a GYG tour with tickets available that also included the cathedral and Giralda tower so booked that. It was a great tour, our guide was very friendly, informative and made sure we got the best from the tour. Fab afternoon.
