Experience the Korean cooking and street food culture in Seoul and join an educational session for you or your group. An expert native Korean chef will assist you in learning the culture, ingredients, and how to prepare and create authentic Korean dishes. Begin the tour with a visit to a local market to buy fresh ingredients for the class and taste some local street food at the popular, yet less touristy market in Seoul. Absorb the vibrant atmosphere of the market and with your guide, find the ingredients which are required for the cooking class. After the market tour, head to the venue of your cooking class and learn a few Korean phrases while sipping a delicious welcome drink. Then it's time to make a variety of traditional Korean dishes. Your experienced chef-guide will show you how to make 4 dishes including Bibimbap (mixed rice with meat and vegetables), Dakgalbi (stir-fried chicken), Haemul-Pajeon (seafood and green onion pancake), and Doenjang-Jjigae (fermented soybean paste stew). Then, sit down to a meal and savor the delicious flavors of your creations. Enjoy the unique art of Korean food with a Hanjeongsik, a traditional Korean course meal with more than 10 side dishes which will be provided by your local host along with seasonal fruits and rice wine.

What people are saying about Seoul

I really enjoyed this class. Junghee was really lovely and welcomed us into her home. She answered all my questions about food and taught us facts that we may not have known, which was amazing to learn as someone who is interested in the relationship between food and culture. The food was very delicious and the tour was fun (even in the pouring rain). I also wouldn't have been able to attend a workshop I really wanted to go to without her help (due to my limited Korean). I would really recommend coming to this class if you are in Seoul!

The cooking class was a wonderful experience - we went to the market to pick up food and learn about some Korean ingredients, then Junghee welcomed us at her house to cook and talk together. As a solo traveller, it was so nice to share a meal with other people and it was also really fun thanks to Junghee's incredible positive energy. Thank you for everything, I can't wait to reproduce the meal we cooked back home! 감사합니다!

We had so much fun with Junghee and her cooking class. We recommend it a 100%, because you can learn so much about the Korean food and culture. Junghee prepared everything in an amazing way (together with us mostly) and her kindness and the way she shared a lot from her life in Korea were very appreciated. Thank you so much!

nice experience, I learned cooking some Korean dishes in a very friendly & funny atmosphere. The only negative point is the meeting point, it was very far away from our hotel. I would prefer that the meeting address would be mentioned on the offer for travelers before making their booking confirmation.

This cooking class was just perfect! The instructor was a gracious host, extremely organized, fun/funny, a great cook. She made the lessons really easy to follow along…English was perfect.
