I was originally going to sign up for the chef guided tour but decided to go with this one because it would include more history, and I’m so glad I did. It was so packed with food and stories and history - I loved it! Our guide Lucky was the best! He was so extremely knowledgeable, personable, and informative. He has years of experience as a tour guide. He said he does it because he loves it - and it shows. He has a deep knowledge of the entire city of Seattle. Afterwards he said we could call or text with any questions and he would be happy to answer questions or give recommendations. I was the only tourist in the group so that was great for me. Like I said, he was truly the best.
We have been to the market before, but it was nice to hear some inside info about it. The history was very interesting. Chef Kent did a wonderful job explaining about some of the vendors we went to for tastings. There was a good variety of foods including some of the top establishments. It was a small group which was great. He took time to answer questions and gave us time to purchase if we desired.
Best part of our trip to Seattle. Super cool way to get to learn about the market high-speed and have a blast doing it. Super positive energy and the food was killer. Can't wait to come back to town and take the tour again. If you don't go you are missing out big time.
I highly recommend this chef guided tour. Our chef guide was Kent. We received a wide variety of samples and chef Kent shared with us how he utilized some of these ingredients in cooking. Kent was fun, engaging and very knowledgeable.
We had a great tour with Kent. All the tastings were amazing. We would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Seattle and wanting a great experience in the market. ~Kristine
