The first bit where you walk over the glass & underneath are sharks is the best bit. I thought that prebooking would determine that the experience wouldn’t get too busy as it was indicated at the time of booking, this would control numbers but actually it was rammed & therefore difficult to move around. I think pushchairs should be banned (there was a pushchair park) but lots of people used them even though their kids weren’t sitting in them. This made moving around more difficult. It had good accessibility though. I felt sorry for the peguins who had little space & inadequate daylight.

Wasn't sure which of the many entrances was the one we needed, but once that was established, the visit went very well indeed. Staff were very helpful, the displays were, on the whole, well thought out and information was close at hand. It's a good outing for a young family as it is not too large and most displays are easy for little ones to see.

It was a good experience to see incredible sea creatures at such close quarters. I do however have a couple of issues with the experience that would vastly improve any future visits. Firstly the information boards which were digital and would change ‘pages’ but they would be somewhere away from the tank or just on one side. The Aquarium is always busy so quite often it was difficult to know what we were looking at. Have non digital signage repeated so we know what is in the tanks at multiple points. Secondly. It’s too, too hot. As we are underground it can feel really claustrophobic. Please turn the heat down! That’s all really. My daughter loves Octopii and found an unhappy, small one which we were sad about. Give it something to do? They are hyper intelligent so probably distressed. It was great, but not encouraging visitors to inform them and equip them with knowledge of what they are looking at and ethical/ sustainable fishing practice.
