Full description
After being picked up from your hotel or from the pickup point of your choice, you’ll travel to Megalochori. Enjoy a stroll around this inland village, one of the traditional villages still largely unchanged in the last century. Visit the Gavalas Winery, a local family-run winery. The Gavalas family has been exclusively engaged in the vinification of the indigenous varieties of grapes grown in Santorini since the 19th century. Taste the luscious flavor of Santorini’s distinctive wine. Receive a tour of the vineyard from these hospitable Oenologists and learn about traditional winemaking techniques as well as new methods. Journey to the Firostefani settlement and take in the gorgeous views of the waters and cliffs of the caldera. See the little white church with the blue dome rising above the brown stone almost as if it were hanging over the sea. This view has been captured a thousand times over in postcards. See it in real life. Walk through Oia, the most photographed location in all of Greece, famous for its sunbaked buildings overlooking the Aegean sea. Here you will see one of the most spectacular sunsets in all the Mediterranean. The evening light splashed upon the island creates a mosaic of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red.
