What people are saying about Santiago

The tour basically consisted of private transportation for 2 people. That was excellent. There was no "excursion" as such to the lagoon. I went on a Wednesday, you have to consider that you cannot enter the Hotel Portillo facilities, unless it is from 12:30 to have lunch, before that, it is not feasible even for a coffee. The area is not set up to comfortably accommodate people who go for the day. When they let you in, the Hotel's lunch has a fixed price, which includes salad, main course, dessert and tap water ($19,000 per person). Service is school casino format and on a plastic tray (see more on tripadvisor), quite simple, without table service. In the sector, in the afternoon a food and coffee cart opened. Public restroom in open container for $500. You have to pay attention on the way back, it is slower due to the immense number of trucks that come from crossing the Los Libertadores pass. The inconvenience is compensated by the beautiful view.
