Full description

Your tour will begin as you are collected from your accommodation, from where you will board a coach destined for the coastal towns of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar.

Once in Valparaiso, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will embark on a panoramic tour of the port and Plaza Sotomayor (Sotomayor Square). Following your tour, you will ascend to the summit of the Concepción and Alegre Hills using traditional elevators. You will then take a break for lunch, during which time you can enjoy some Chilean cuisine at your own expense. Your next stop will be to Viña del Mar, which is known as the "Garden City" for its plethora of greenery. Towards the end of your tour, you will visit a coastal area to observe some sea lions, before traveling to your final stop, the Casablanca Valley.

There, you can sample wines at the Indomita Vineyard, before returning to Santiago in the early evening.

Julio acted as driver and guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the place. It was a small tour, which made it very easy to get around and very pleasant to share with the rest of the tour companions. It is worth it if you have little time to visit Viña del Mar and Valparaíso, since it goes to the essentials. The tasting is perhaps a bit short (we tried two wines, a sparkling and a white), however the farm is very beautiful and the staff very friendly.

I knew this would be good but it far exceeded my expectations. Our guide showed us things off the beaten path in a way that made it memorable and very special. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. He even acted as our photographer! Highly recommend, the place and the tour company.

This was the highlight of our time in Santiago. Our guide, Daniel, provided great entertainment on the smooth ride from Santiago to Valparaiso. He spoke great English, and he really knew a lot about Chilean history, politics, and geography. When we arrived in Valparaiso, our driver John (nickname: Juan y media) dropped us off up on top of the hills. We enjoyed a walk down through the beautifully painted streets of Valparaiso and stopped to admire the many murals. Daniel (our guide) was also a great photographer, in addition to his other talents. We love the pictures he took of us! We ended our walking tour at the funicular and met our driver at the bottom of the hill. From there, we drove to Viña Mar for more ocean views and a spectacular lunch before leaving for our third stop at the bodega where we had a wine tasting and learned more about Chilean wine making. By the end of the tour, we were exhausted. The tour was a great value and Daniel was the best!
