Full description

Depart Santiago de Compostela in the morning on an excursion to Finisterre and Muxia.

First, take a walking tour of the old town Muros and the fishing port that is a reminder of Galician culture and tradition where the sea is the protagonist. Admire the porches, galleries, and quaint style of the homes.

Visit the spectacular Ézaro Waterfall of the Xallas River, which crosses Ézaro and cascades into the sea. From a fantastic vantage point, enjoy breathtaking views of the town and coast. Discover the town of Fisterra, a popular stop on the pilgrim's route to Compostela. Visit Faro, the most important location in the Costa da Morte area. After, enjoy free time for lunch.

Visit the quaint village of Muxia to see Nosa Señora da Barca, one of the most traditional marine sanctuaries in Galicia. It is said that the Virgin appeared to the Apostle James here. Next, visit the town of Ponte Maceira. Cross the medieval bridge over the Tambre River and admire the surrounding vegetation, creating an atmospheric setting. Afterward, return to Santiago de Compostela.

The very complete route, very beautiful places. To improve the route, I would remove the stop at Muro and leave a little more time to eat. I would even close the price with a bar or restaurant with a closed menu so as not to go looking for a place to eat and go directly. All the best.

Our guide was excellent - he was knowledgeable and able to explain what we were seeing in both English and Spanish. The tour moved fast because we had a lot of territory to cover, which made it difficult to take time to explore some of what we were seeing, so it is best to keep your individual preferences in mind when booking the type of tour. The bus was comfortable. Well worth the money.

Considering it would have cost the same to take the bus to all of the different places on my own, I thought this was a very good value trip. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did well chopping and changing between Spanish and English. Every stop was enjoyable, especially lunch during which I took a swim in the sea in Finisterre!
