Benefit from hotel pick-up in the areas of Punta Cana, Bavaro, Uvero Alto and Bayahibe, and then experience the amazing countryside of the Dominican Republic from multiple perspectives. Journey along rural roads and get endless photo opportunities! Start with an approximate 1-hour drive along the main El Seybo highway from Bavaro to Miches. Head for the dock to board a speedboat to Santa Bárbara de Samaná. Upon arrival, climb aboard a safari-style truck and travel to El Limón to visit a typical island house and sample some native and organic fruits straight from the plantation. Continue to the majestic El Limón Waterfall with a short ride through the tropical forest by horse. Get a unique view of the crystal clear waters from the mountain before saying farewell to the horses and hiking alongside the river to take a refreshing dip in the waterfall. Replenish with a typical buffet style meal at Rancho Tipico, and enjoy a short rest before going back to the dock in Samaná. Good experience, incredible places ... only that they should improve logistics, since the guides themselves do not agree on what is the next activity and it becomes a relaxation and time is limited, with a better organization may have more enjoyment. The open bar is only at lunchtime. The guide Vic super good !!!

The excursion was definitely involving and very intense! Pro. Notwithstanding the several shifts and activities it was perfectly organised. Guides were very well prepared and provided a big range of info. Places visited were stunning. Cayo Levantado is a paradise. Cons. Before your horse ride to Limon waterfall: take into consideration that the accompanying guys receive no salary for their services (they act as "volunteers"). Each accompany guy is given an horse (and takes care of feeding and cleaning it) and they only live with the tips provided by visitors. Unfortunately the time to enjoy Cayo Levantado (aprox 1 hour30) is very short. Mind the urchins!

The activity is quite good, very complete and I recommend it if you are looking for something more authentic than beach and rum. The guides quite good and one of them very good, it is appreciated that it tells something of the Dominican culture and the region of Samana. The boat well although we hit a torrential rain, luckily it stayed in anecdote. The horse ride quite interesting and the waterfall a beauty. It should be noted that it did not carry much flow through a drought, but still a beauty. The companions of the animals well, until it arrives near the end and they take out all the shrapnel of shame so that you release the maximum of tip, becoming heavy and in some annoying companion. I recommend buying some cocoa, tobacco or coffee subenir, knowing that they can be tightened since their starting price is inflated.
