Excellent choice for seeing the Tuscan countryside

We could not have had a better experience. While it was supposed to be a group tour, my daughter and I ended up being the only 2. Our tour guide, Francesco, is the reason for my 5 star rating. He bought my daughter her first Italian coffee and then entertained us and was willing to answer all of our questions about Tuscany (and really Italy in general). He even shared his Napoletan pizza dough recipe with us! San Gimignano is a quaint and beautiful town and I do wish we had had more time to explore. Don't miss Dondoli's Gelato! Both wineries were beautiful and we learned a lot about the process of wine making. We were given bread, meats, cheeses, olive oils (including truffle and spicy truffle), balsalmic vinegar and dessert. We arrived back in Florence full and happy and with wonderful information and memories. Thank you Francesco!

The tour was good, but 45 minutes is way too short a time to spend in San Gimignano. Two hours would have been more adequate. Also, the van should be equipped with a microphone system. The three of us in the last row of the 8-passenger van could not hear the driver when he was talking about what we were seeing. Another problem with the van: It would not start when we were leaving the second winery to return to Florence. The driver had to get a ride - I don't know where he went - to get booster cables to start the battery.

San Gimignano was beautiful! The wine tastings were well prepared and intimate. Marco Tresante, our guide, was punctual, proficient and fluent. His vast knowledge of the Chianti region and vintners process was immediately evident. Hi passion for wine and travel is contagious. Marco kept us on schedule without ever feeling rushed. Bravo Marco!!!

Great tour of the vineyards in the Chianti region. We did the tour in October, which was not the best time for the grapes as they were harvested. But the tour in itself was fun and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the region and it's various wines.

Great tour and great guide. The interactions among the other tourists made it very enjoyable. Great presentations at the wineries; very cordial yet professionally presented.
