Full description
Enjoy 360-degree views of Alcatraz Island as you circle the island twice. Learn about this prison without stepping foot on the island and listen to astonishing tales of escape attempts. Discover what life was like in this maximum-security prison and the brutal life and unscripted accounts of life on “The Rock“. After departing from Pier 39, your 90-minute cruise consists of sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge then passing by Treasure Island and Sausalito.
In the afternoon, head to Muir Woods from San Francisco. Spend about an hour admiring the tallest coastal redwood sequoia trees in Muir Woods National Monument. Take a walk amongst the trees and stop to enjoy nature as you take in the beautiful scenery and fresh air. Continue your tour to the quaint seaside town of Sausalito to shop at boutique stores and art galleries where you can pick up a souvenir. Choose to take a ferry back to Fisherman's Wharf or the Ferry Building in San Francisco, at an additional charge.
