Your official Alcatraz tour starts in the morning at Pier 33, the only official starting location for Alcatraz tours and cruises. After picking up your tickets at the will-call kiosk, you will take a 15-minute narrated ferry ride to the famous Alcatraz Island. Once on the Island, you will be outfitted with an award-winning audio guide available in 8 different languages that allows you to learn the history of America's most iconic prison and explore the ruins at your own pace. Learn the stories of famous criminals and ponder the fates of the select few believed to have escaped on a 3 hours exploration of the national park. Return ferries leave every 30 minutes, but don't take too long as you don't want to be late for your beer tour.
Once back on the mainland, you will have a short time to rest and fortify yourself before your small group walking beer tour begins! Try some of the best beer the West Coast has to offer as you navigate the colorful neighborhoods and learn the history of beer in California from an expert local guide who has made beer a unique lens by which to view the city by the bay. Learn the origin of "Steam Beer", sample fresh beers from around the bay and discover off-the-beaten path insights into San Francisco's craft beer industry.
