Los Haitises Day Trip We'll pick you up at your hotel in Punta Cana from 6:30 am onwards and set off for Los Haitises National Park, a unique karst landscape bathed by the waters of Samaná Bay. Upon arrival, we'll board a boat and sail along the Caño Hondo River towards San Lorenzo Bay, while looking out for tangles of red mangroves on the shore. In open water, we'll be able to spot rocky mogotes teeming with pelicans and fork-tailed flycatchers. The expedition continues to the Arena and Linea caves, which were once used by the Taíno indigenous people. Inside, we'll see these caves decorated with indigenous pictograms and petroglyphs. Our next stop will be the Caño Hondo Paradise Hotel, where we'll hop off the boat and see beautiful natural pools inside the hotel's grounds. You'll be able to have a refreshing dip in the Jivales River before having a traditional Dominican lunch, which we'll eat in this idyllic spot. With our energy back, we'll get into a jeep and head to the summit of Redonda mountain, which is nestled between two lagoons: Limón and Redonda. From the top, the views of the jungle will look like something out of a fairy tale. Finally, we'll return to the mainland and head back to Punta Cana, where we'll arrive at your hotel between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

After we start from the Main port of Los Haitises National Park name Caño Hondo (Deep Creek) on a BOAT with Life jackets. We will enjoy the Red Mangroves forest until arrive in San Lorenzo Bay. Small bay into Samaná Bay. And here we go! The first amazing thing that you can see is the collection of a Huge limestones mountain island called Mogotes. on top of them more than 700 species of Plants and many wetlands birds flying around. Later Visiting Caves with pictographs from our indigenous communities 750 years ago. Through the mangroves and Land at the open San Lorenzo Bay, from where you can photograph the rugged forest landscape. Look to the water to spot Manatees, crustaceans, and dolphins. The national park’s name comes from its original inhabitants, the Taino Indians. In their language “Haitises” translates to highlands or Hills, a reference to the coastline’s steep geological formations with Limestones. Aventure deeper into the park to explore caves such as the Cueva de la Arena and Cueva de la Línea. Caves in the reserve were used as shelter by the Taino Indians and, later, by hiding pirates. Look for drawings by Indians that decorate some of the walls. After visiting Los Haitises National Park we will go back to the port where our trip started.

Samaná is a peninsula located on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic. Full of incredible landscapes and pure nature, it is a member of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club of UNESCO as well as having been classified as a World Eco-Tourism Paradise. Each year between the months of February and March over 3,500 humpback whales mate in the warm coastal waters just off of the coast of the peninsula. Your tour begins with a boat trip from Miches to the Bay of Samaná, accompanied by a beautiful view. After arriving to your location, you will embark on a horseback trek to the majestic 50-meter high Lemon waterfall, which contains a beautiful natural pool below and is surrounded by lush tropical forest. Following your waterfall tour, you will head on a city tour atop a safari truck through the city of Samaná. Discovered by the navigator Christopher Columbus in 1493, this was the point in which the first hostile meeting between Europeans and natives occurred. Following your city tour, you will sit down for a Dominican buffet lunch in a field restaurant, where you can indulge in a tasting of tropical fruits harvested in the area. After lunch, you will be taken in the safari truck back to the dock, after which you will head to Cayo Levantado or "Bacardi Island". In case you will like this trip short we have a second option: Only Kayaking in Los Haitises 4 or 2 hours. The Tour finishes at the starting point in Los Haitises National Park. We Recommend this trip early in the morning to see Manatees, crustaceans, and dolphins.
