Over all it was nice experience. It says lakes but it is mainly one lake “Wolfgangsee”the other lakes we just seen from a distance. The mountains are allover without distinction or a stop. The stop at Sankt Gilgen was very very short although it is more beautiful than “Wolfgang”.I think if the time given to Wolfgang was given to Sankt Gilgen it would have been more enjoyable. The driver receives the group in Wolfgang village ,see it in 10 minutes and complete the journey.

The Salzkammergut is well worth seeing. We were expecting to travel in a tour bus but were taken in two minibuses from which you couldn't see quite so well, at least those sitting in the middle. It would have been nice to have some time in St. Gilgen to explore the place, instead we had to go straight to the ship. It was great that we made a short stop above St. Gilgen to enjoy the view of the lake and to take pictures. The approximately 40-minute boat trip across Lake Wolfgang was very nice. We stayed for 1 hour in St. Wolfgang, which was completely sufficient, or 45 minutes would have been enough. We regretted that there was no stopover at Mondsee, which we drove along, at least a short stop for a view of the lake would have been nice. The bus driver was a bit too talkative for us. All in all a great tour that I can definitely recommend.

I was the only signed up for the tour so they couldn’t carry it out. They only told me when I turned up for it on that day. I was offered the ‘Sound of Music’ tour instead I accepted it though what I wanted was to see the lakes David, our guide on the Sound of Music’ tour is exceptional in his dedication and capability. He made the tour 5 STAR!
