On this spooky and sinister tour of Salzburg, you will learn about the jobs of executioners and torturers and get to know the city’s medieval and modern methods of torture. The main focus of this guided tour will be the Salzburg witch trials and the Zauberer Jackl trials, as well as the role of the Catholic Church at the time. Dip into the history of superstition, legends, and sayings – and visit original sites such as the pillories, the torture chambers, and the place of execution. With its mix of dark and humorous tales, this tour is appropriate for children ages 10 and up. It lasts about 1.5 hours.

An informative and very interesting tour of the executioners, witches and torturers as well as tortured people from Salzburg's Middle Ages. However, you should also know that the tour only takes place through the streets of Salzburg and you don't go anywhere ... because then you want to get to know or explore secrets from "inside" ... Still, Sabine Rath teaches you the creep and leaves you immerse yourself in the Middle Ages with great stories and lots of charm ...
