This tour was really amazing! Emmanuel, our guide, is local from Bordeaux and he was extremely knowledgeable of local specialities and of course wine. He drove us to the village of Saint-Émilion where we first visited an organic vineyard and we had the opportunity to learn about organic winemaking in Bordeaux . There, our main guide was the owner of the vineyard , a very kind lady who belongs to a family with eleven generations of experience in the winemaking art. After the explanation of the process and after tasting some of the grapes from the vines, we end with a wine-tasting activity where three different and extremely good Bordeaux wines were involved. Once our visit to the vineyard was finished, we then visited the Saint-Émilion where Emmanuel walked us through this medieval UNESCO World Heritage Site while telling us its history. In summary, this tour is strongly recommended for anyone visiting Bordeaux with a very nice, kind and knowledgeable guide as Emmanuel.

There were only 4 of us on the tour and our driver Emmanuel who is from Bordeaux was a fabulous host and of course very knowledgeable about the area, it’s surrounds and of course wine tasting. He gave us a walking tour of the beautiful village of saint-emillion and purchased some local traditional macaroon for us to sample whilst on the walk. We also visited one winery in the region and the host was also excellent. We learnt so much about the wine making process and sampled their beautiful wine while sitting outside in the lovely peaceful gardens. Really enjoyed this experience and would recommend it.

Our guide was friendly, spoke good english so he could address all our questions and the pace of the trip was about right. Vineyard was a delight, much smaller than we had expected, with chickens clucking round the yard in the sunshine and the smell of the recently pressed lees. Nice small group too.

We would 100% recommend doing this tour. Emmanuel (the guide) was very nice, very informative and made the whole experience very enjoyable and interesting. The tour of the winery is excellent and learned a lot about winemaking. Seeing the village of St Emilion was also very special.

I can fully recommend! The guide was nice, answer all our questions, have good knowledge about the wine, the wineyards are beautiful. The city is amazing.
