Full description
Head to an Arctic forest roughly 20 kilometers from the city center to experience the traditional firewood sauna in the forest. The experience of the sauna is such an important part of Finnish culture, that it can’t be compared to anything else. For centuries, it has been a place for physical and spiritual cleansing. Dipping into icy lakes and rolling in the snow are said to be good for your blood circulation, but most people do them simply for the incredible rush. Head to an amazing outdoor forest location to try your hand at winter swimming in the icy water. Raise your head to catch a glimpse of the magical Northern Lights. After the sauna experience, head to the frozen lake to hunt the Northern Lights while you enjoy hot drinks and a BBQ.

I entered the sauna around the lake at about -20 degrees Celsius! Since the temperature inside the sauna was set to 80 degrees, the temperature difference from the outside was close to 100 degrees, and I was able to experience something like never before! The lake in February was frozen, with small sherbet-like ponds in places where I could enter and play at the sauna intervals. The pond is about below the knee, so you can put it in with confidence. The guide's older sisters were very friendly and humorous, which was great! The sandwiches and marshmallows after the sauna are also delicious, especially the hot blueberry juice. I could see a little aurora lol (Our photo one week ago was so amazing, I think it depends on luck) It was a lot of fun to experience the real sauna in the frigid cold!

    It was wonderful

The tour was only for us and the couple, but there were other tours along the lake for aurora appreciation and sauna. When we arrived at the lakeside, there was already a large aurora, so I watched the aurora first and the guide took a picture with my high-sensitivity camera. After that, while I entered the sauna and entered the bathtub outside the hut and warmed up for about an hour, the guide burned the fire and warmed the drink. When sausages and marshmallows were baked after the sauna, a more beautiful aurora was seen along the way! ! At that time, only the guide and three of us were on the lakeside and I was really moved! ! If you can't see the aurora, you might feel that it's expensive, but you can see the aurora, so it feels cheaper ... The response of the laugh guide was great!

Good guide, special sauna + ice swimming + snow rolling experience. Great BBQ food - sausage, gingerbread, marshmallow, hot berry juice. Too bad can’t catch aurora...
