Overall the experience was good - we had a charming guide, and she explained everything to us in an exciting way. The thing I did not like or thought could be better is that for this money there should be included at least St Peters Square, if not basilica itself. You only get the Vatican museum tour (and skip the line ticket - which is definitely convenient, as there are A LOT of people). The tour lasted for 3+ hours, even though it should be 2,5h and after that, we had to walk to the square by ourselves which ended up being a 4+ hours experience and felt it just can be better organized for 50+ euros per ticket. Don't get me wrong, of course, we could walk there alone, but we expected it to be in that 3 h, until the very end we didn't know that the Sistine chapel is the last we see our guide.

Our tour guide (we think her name was Laura but we have taken a lot of tours) was fantastic! Taking the tour was the best way to see the Vatican. Do NOT skip St Peter’s Basilica- most incredible part of the tour. Our guide had so much knowledge of the Basilica!

I’m glad we did this, as the Vatican museums are way too vast for us to have figured much out on our own, but this tour was a little lacking. The place was packed even on a Wednesday morning, which is no one’s fault, but our guide would sort of take off through the crowds without making sure the group was with her. She would eventually stop and look for people, but if you weren’t right behind her she was very easy to lose. She moved through rooms very quickly, not a ton of time to look at things. That said, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She parted ways with us right before the Sistine Chapel - if you want to see the basilica as well, I recommend asking your guide how to get their before you part ways; it’s actually quite a walk and you have to leave the museum and walk around the outside of Vatican City and then re-enter at St Peters Square.
