The tour passed through very beautiful parts of the Vatican. We had an excellent tour guide who gave us lots of information and was very helpful. The Vatican museums are very full in general though which means the tour moves very very fast and it’s difficult to properly look at the artwork and sculptures. Overall a good experience.

Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about art history. The art is breathtaking! Lots of walking however, and very crowded with no air conditioning. It was a very hot day which made it somewhat difficult. The Sistine Chapel was last and very beautiful. We were told we could take pictures by our guide, but I was scolded rudely by an attendant in the Chapel when he saw my phone out. Told me I would be removed if he saw it again. People were herded into the Chapel and told to stand closely in line and be silent. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. I couldn’t wait to get out at that point. The attendants were stern and dictatorial. Unfortunate that visitors were treated that way - only in the Chapel though. (which had air conditioning by the way, as did the gift shops)

This was a great experience overall. You get to skip the long lines and enter the beautiful Vatican City. The guided tour is through the museum, not the Sistine chapel but that’s okay. The only reason why I took off one star is because there was a bit of a language barrier with out tour guide. Overall though I’m glad I booked this.
