Full description
Find out about the mysteries of the Vatican through a selection of classical sculpture galleries, tapestries and significant paintings collected in one of the most important museums in the world. Visit the famous Sistine Chapel with exclusive access to St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the whole Catholic Christian world, built on the tomb of the first pope in history, next to St. Peter's Square. You will also get to go inside the private chambers of former popes. After lunch, visit the Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, where you'll see the sculpture of "Moses" by the famous artist Michelangelo, which was part of the Pope Julius II funerary monument. Then, take a big step into the past, reliving the magnetism and grandeur of the Roman Empire, and visit the Colosseum built by Emperor Vespasian in 80 AD, and inaugurated by his son Titus, with over 100 days of celebrations, during which more than 5,000 animals were killed in the sand. On the Via Sacra, walk through the Roman Forum - the political, religious and social center of the capital. Climb the Palatine, one of the central hills of Rome. The tour ends at the Palatine, one of the central hills of Rome.
