Full description
After meeting your guide in central Rome, you will begin a 2-hour excursion through the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Monti neighborhood in Rome, one of the oldest districts in the city. Hip and happening, this section of Rome is loaded with famous sites and family-owned "trattorias". Your guide will narrate the journey as you encounter various historic sites and step into a typical, local pizzeria and gelateria to sample a palate tempting fare made with generations of love and proud heritage. This small-group tour (with no more than 13 attendees) ensures you’ll receive personalized attention. Your guide will take you to a pizza by slice restaurant to enjoy the local atmosphere where you will eat the Suppli and Crocchette (Roman-style Stuffed Rice and Potato Balls) accompanied by a chinotto or gassosa (traditional Roman beverages). The tour will continue through the Monti discrict at one of the best gelaterias. This food tour not only gives you a taste of Rome's traditional cuisine, it also provides an introduction to Rome's rich cultural history with a licensed tour guide. Simply superb

It was Stefano who visited us, normally scheduled in English (error on my part?) And as we were only the two of us, It was with great humor that he started speaking in French after qq minutes to our great relief;) Otherwise the visit is very interesting and makes us discover lots of really pretty lane by giving us some anecdotes on ancient history but also very current. I recommend this visit rather at the beginning of the stay to learn more for the rest. A great 2 hour tour with some culinary specialties really typical of Rome which is a real treat. The visit is really advisable and in addition if you have the chance to come across Stefano it is only the most :)

Informative tour including meals

A very interesting historical city tour with a guide where you can tell that he loves what he does. The tour also included a stopover for delicious pizza and ice cream. For those who want to get a little historical facts vividly and charmingly conveyed, this tour through Ro is just the thing!

Great food, fun and knowledgeable guide who seemed to know everyone we passed. And it ended up being a private tour as we were the only ones who booked it that night.
