Very impressive!! A huge piece of history and an absolute must when visiting Rome! Our guide Assem had an incredible amount of information and was able to show us the Colosseum's former heyday. A guided tour (or a tour with an audio guide) is definitely recommended! Please be careful: There are many pickpockets and street vendors in front of the Colosseum.

It was a bit complicated to find the meeting point as it was not in the main street were you go out from Metro and were are a lot of guides waiting for their clients. You have to go upstairs to a higher situated street and to walk for about 100 meters towards garden gates. It's good that there is no croad there and it's easy to find your guide when you are in the right place. The start of the tour was postponed for 45 minutes, but we were informed about that by phone call the day before. The guided tour was excelent!

This Collosseum Tour was fantastic and our guide was excellent. We experienced a weird thing in that on the digital ticket it only stated 1 hour and we were worried that we had paid for 3-4 tour but were not going to get it. So we booked a separate tour for the afternoon to cover what we thought we would not get to see. If the info on the pass had been correct we would not have done this. My husband has tried every which way to get the afternoon one refunded on the same day but GYG are not having any of it! Very expensive day all told, we cannot talk someone in person to explain, just e-mails! We feel we had been mislead and then no negotiation on what we felt was not our fault. We probably won't use GYG again even though their tours have always delivered in the past.
