Experience a walking tour through ancient Rome and the Colosseum, the most imposing of all Roman monuments, where thousands of men and wild animals were put to death before a bloodthirsty audience.  This is a truly exclusive guided tour. Avoid lines and crowds, and get directly inside the Colosseum arena from the Porta Libitinaria, arriving in the middle of the arena. Enjoy a special perspective of the Colosseum, where you can feel like a real gladiator during the ludus gladiatorius. Your guide will tell you all about gladiators' combats and will tell many stories about fool emperors who played in the arena as gladiators against wild beasts. From the arena floor, you will also have a view directly above the undergrounds. Your exclusive guided tour will continue with the Colosseum's first and second rings. Admire the incredible engineering genius of the Romans and hear about the incredible speed at which they were able to build this structure.

Absolutely first class tours. Had booked this one but as there were spaces on the more comprehensive/expensive one (Rome was very quiet due to Coronavirus panic) we were upgraded for free. The guide within the Colosseum was excellent, very interesting commentary (with headphones) accompanied by pictures, gave just the right amount of time and happy to answer questions and allow time for photos. Really enjoyable. We then met another guide outside for the tour of Palentine Hill. Again an excellent, funny but very educational tour with great commentary and interaction with the group (only 6 in the group and 5 were in our party so almost a private tour!). The guy was very knowledgeable and really brought the area to life, also suggested other areas to visit. One of the best things we did and would definitely recommend using this company.

I was overwhelmed with all the ticket options available online for the Colosseum. My partner really wanted access to the arena area so I was grateful to find reasonably priced tickets with a guide via this site at short notice. The app is fantastic and the automatic email confirmation were really helpful. It gave me peace of mind knowing we had a set meeting point and they would take care of the rest. Very professional company and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The group was small which made it an intimate experience. Our guide Serena was so knowledgeable and funny - she kept our attention by showing us some reconstruction images of the various sites via her ipad.

An informative tour. The guide gave a good insight in to the life and times of the Roman age contestants. Attending the gladiator arena area was worthwhile and gave the added extra experience. The earphones worked well. Our 9 year old son enjoyed himself. The pick up point was close to the Colluseum and went smoothly.
