Very interesting tour - crypts are off of Barberini Plaza, but then you get put on bus for trip out to catacombs which are about 25 minutes (no traffic) outside of city, and you stop at St. Sylvester's church (the underground portion dates from 3rd century AD) I'm glad I went, but I might not have booked having known about the big coach full of tourists.

Easy booking online and prices are reasonable . I bought our entrance tickets to the colosseum with hosted entry to the arena and navona underground experience and I wasn’t disappointed . The ruins are remarkable, the whole site is quite new. The audioguides are definitively a plus, although there is also much written information. The given time for the first part is to little, even listening nonstop to the guide you would not be done until the -real- guide will in with you to the 2nd site. But they allowed us to continue with the rest afterwards. Some information on the guide is inconsistent (ca. at Station 16 "look to your right, the statue", but there is none. 2nd site: The descriptions of the canalisation-locations with "to your left" and "to your right", did not help, if you do not have a common start. ) But on the whole recommendable
