Catch the best of Baroque Rome including the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Venezia while taking in the bustling Roman atmosphere en route. After tossing three coins into the blue waters of the Trevi Fountain, move on to a tour of the monumental archaeology of ancient Rome - including a visit to the Colosseum. Get privileged skip-the-ticket-line access through the remarkable Gladiator's Gate. Once inside, you will be able to walk across the arena floor while marveling at the 360-degree view of the icon of Ancient Rome. Your guide will explain what really made a gladiator and what the games meant to real Romans. After exploring the various levels and views, your guide will leave you to wander around the Colosseum on your own if you so wish. Following a swift break for lunch, reconvene in the afternoon at our meeting point near the Vatican Museums until it's time to head straight into the Vatican Museums. See all the major works of art by masters such as Perugino, Giotto, Raphael, and of course Michelangelo. The time you will spend inside the magnificent Sistine Chapel will be an absolute highlight. On St. Peter's Square your guide will tell you about the origins of the Vatican City State and Swiss Guard. We recently did the Rome in a Day tour, while the day was busy, we had an excellent time. Tour guides were knowledgeable, interesting and very helpful. Would recommend this tour, but if you have more time, take a couple of days, as the one day certainly was full on, but we loved it.

Very informative, tricky to locate meeting spot

I thought Sarah, our tour guide for Coloseum was great. She was so knowledgable. And the Vatican tour was great too. Wish the meeting spot was more specific and couldn't find them. Had to make phone calls, and from America, can be costly. The guide waited for us. Thank you. Another thing that is not told up front, we had to take a 10euro cab to get from Coloseum area tour to Vatican our Vatican tour. It wasn't a big deal, we just weren't expecting to do that.

Excellent tour

We had a very good tour especially the one given by Giuliano at the Vatican. He was organized, knowledgable and thorough. His personality was wonderful as well. Sarah was good for the morning tour of Ancient Rome but was a little bit rushed. My only suggestion is to make it a little more clear regarding the meeting places. We showed up at the Piazza Venezia but since our guide was running late we had no idea if we were in the right spot at the piazza and didn't know what to actually look for. I would recommend being specific and saying to meet at the right side of the front steps and look for the guide to carrying a certain color umbrella. And for meeting at the office you should give clear detailed directions as it is tucked away in the alley and not that easy to find. But we had a good experience and would definitely recommend your company. Thanks.
