    Make the most of your cruise stopover at Civitavecchia Port and journey to Rome with an all-encompassing hop-on hop-off bus tour.

    If you choose the option with transfer, depart from Civitavecchia Port at 9:00 AM and get dropped off on Via Crescenzio 19, near the Vatican City. It is about a 10-minute walk to the Hop-on Hop-off bus stop number 6.  Then, jump off and on at 8 stops, all conveniently located close to the most important monuments in the city. Learn the history of Rome with the on-board recorded commentary available in 9 languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Arabic and Portuguese). The hop-on hop-off buses operate every day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The online voucher can be validated on any of the Big Bus buses. Return departure to Civitavecchia Port at 3:30 PM. The transfer bus departs from Piazza dell’ Independenza and stops at 3:45 PM at the bus stop on via Crescenzio #2. Please note this is on on your own tour option.

      Give yourself a lot of time to get back. Rome is very crowded and has a lot of traffic. We were aiming to return on the 3:30pm bus, there was so much traffic, we didn't make it and had to take the 4:00pm bus back to the port. The bus was a little difficult to find, this is a good route if you like or don't mind walking

      Super organized despite little time!

      The time in Rome was relatively short for us, but that's because of the shipping company and not because of the provider. If you want to see some things in Rome you have to hold on, but you could also just get out at a few places and otherwise see the sights from the bus. The shuttle from the port and back worked great, the bus was air-conditioned and the bus driver was very nice. We were totally satisfied and would book again and again! (PS: above all compared to the prices of the shipping companies)

      Well organized

      Stop / pick up directly between Petersplatz and Trevi fountain. Many sights can be easily reached on foot. Hop-on hop-off therefore makes redundant unless you use the 5.5 hour stay with extreme sightseeing without a break. 1 round with the tour takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. The Collosseum is about the middle of the tour.
