Full description
You’ll visit the Piazza Navona and the Piazza Venezia and walk up the Spanish Steps. Your personal guide will also take you to see the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Statue of Minvera. This walking tour is the perfect way to get to know the Eternal City. Rome's incomparable works of art and ancient monuments provide a unique insight into the history of the city and its culture. After a few stops at some of the city's major attractions in the morning you’ll have the option of stopping for a delightful Italian lunch and gelato, before continuing on with your explorations. After lunch, head to the Piazza Venezia, the historical center of Rome where you will see the Vittorian. This is the altar that was dedicated to King Vittorio Emanuele II in 1911. After visiting the Piazza Venezia, walk to the Capitol Square. Michelangelo's Renaissance palace was built on the ruins of the ancient city's acropolis and dates to the 16th century. It is now the seat of Rome’s city government. You will see several notable works of art around the square, including the 2 colossal statues of Castor and Pollux that stand guard at the magnificent staircase that leads up to the palace. Your guide will provide in-depth information on all the places you visit during the tour.
