    Full description
    The tour starts in the Piazza di Spagna, at the base of the Spanish Steps. The 135 steps related to the historic Bourbon Spanish Embassy to the church of Trinità dei Monti at the summit, proceed to the Rococo splendor of the Trevi Fountain, your guide will explain the tradition of throwing a coin over your shoulder into the fountain and you will eventually return to Rome. Walk to the Pantheon, the largest brick dome in the history of architecture and is considered a forerunner of all modern places of worship, the Pantheon is dedicated to the gods of Olympus and one of the best-preserved monuments of ancient Rome. The tour will end at Piazza Navona which is built on the ruins of Domitian Circus, adorned by Bernini’s Fountain of the four rivers.

    Luisa was an outstanding host and tour guide. Her knowledge was immense and we felt very welcomed as we toured the most interesting and fascinating historical and artistically influenced piazzas, structures and buildings of 16th and 17th century Rome and such wonderful historical stories at each site. This tour is an absolute must for any visitor!

    We booked this tour on the first evening of our vacation, were picked up by our guide at the hotel and then took a taxi to the start of the tour. Being guided through the city in the evening by a Roman woman in German was a great and recommendable experience. We already got a good spatial feeling for the city and received one or the other tip along the way.
