it felt like a rather long tour to be honest, and by the end we were flagging a bit. It didn't help that our start time should have been 10.45, and was put back to 11.00 and maybe even a bit after that. Once we got to the colisseum, we were then waiting 15 minutes or so for the guide there to come and unlock the lower level for us (we'd paid for the lower level and arena tour). The tour guide was very informative and did keep talking but it becomes rather information overload in the end, especially when trying to fill time whilst waiting.

Rita was our guide and she was fun, energetic and very knowledgeable about all things Rome and in particular the Colosseum and Forum. She seemed genuinely excited to share Rome with us. The underground tour was excellent and a unique experience. It gave a much better perspective on the colosseum and was a highlight of our Rome experience.

The tour, both of the Coliseum and Forum, was excellent. The organisation was first class, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. There was lots of time, following the underground visit, to relax and experience the atmosphere of the Coliseum. Highly recommended.
