Full description
Visit the Colosseum, one of the most iconic structures in the world. Skip the ticket line to access the Colosseum quickly and easily. Learn about the architecture and history of this massive amphitheater, which hosted senators, emperors, and gladiators, as well as animals from all over the world. You'll have the opportunity to visit Palatine Hill, site of the foundation of Rome, followed by exploring the Roman Forum site. Make your own way to the Vatican Museums. The complex is home to 54 different galleries and four statue museums: Museo Pio-Clementino, Museo Chiaramonti, Museo Gregoriano Etrusco and the Museo Gregoriano Egiziano. See some of the most famous works of art in the world, from artists including Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Carvaggio, Raphael and Giotto, to name a few. The 54th gallery of the Vatican Museums is the famed Sistine Chapel, completed around 1483. View many of the most famous frescoes in the world, including the famous ceiling and "The Last Judgement" painted by Michelangelo. The Sistine Chapel holds some of the world's most precious works of art, but is also used for the papal conclave, the process through which a new pope is chosen.

The tours themselves were great! The company hosting the tours was...less great. We made sure to get there the 25 minutes early and thank god we did. They did not have our tour purchase on any list so they ended up upgrading us to a semi-private group for the Vatican (which was awesome!). Our guide was excellent but she didn't explain anything until we were already through security at the Vatican. Then, in the afternoon. we went to the Colosseum to meet at 1pm and no one was there. The summer hours state 1pm and winter hours 3pm. Well, we called and they said the tour started at 2pm. Very confusing. But our guide, once again, was fantastic and the Roman Forum portion was really fascinating. Recommend the tour but the company could do with some organization improvements!

Linda in Vatican & Massimo in Colosseum & city tour were brilliant!

Had a combined same day tour : with a beautiful, witty & fun Sicilian tour guide lady Linda (Cristina) at 8.30am in Vatican - the only one to visit Rafael Rooms as well & not crowded as usual; and with Massimo of Coliseum, Rome Forum, Paladine Hill, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon & Piazza Navona - both excellent , informative but also easy tours & guides! Highly recommended & cheaper & any other option. Quite intense to fit in one day but very doable, enough time in between for a lunch & getting to the other meeting point. Kids 8y.o. & 12y.o. survived & enjoyed!

Ancient Rome tour in the afternoon was excellent. Monica was very nice and managed to get to most places despite pouring rain!! Morning tour to Vatican was terrible. Meeting point not well explained and is in Via Germanico 8 for English guide. Long queue despite being fast track entry and it took 1.5 hours. Due to long wait outside other people pressured tour guide to keep going- but had to take (8 and 10 yrs kids) for a toilet break (2mins). Told us to meet upstairs and would not wait. Very busy and too crowded and impossible to find her once upstairs. Had to get an audio tour as was not able to find the guide. Bad experience!!!
