Full description
Discover Rome like a Roman on a half-day private tour of some of the city’s hidden neighborhoods, such as the eclectic and bizarre Quartiere Coppedè. Traveling by private car, your driver will be at your disposal throughout the tour, taking you to secret sites such as the fairytale cottages of the Quartiere Coppedè. Nestled in the Trieste district in the northern part of the city, the area boasts a fantastic mix of Ancient Greek, Medieval, and Art Nouveau architecture. Discover the treasures of Piazza Mincio and other streets and squares of the Coppedè to see Rome’s answer to the Gaudì structures of Barcelona. Continue to the park of Villa Torlonia where, among the 13.2 hectares of grounds, you’ll find the House of the Owls (Casina delle Civette) and admire the tricks of light created by its stained glass windows. Next, explore the Jewish Ghetto. Built in the 16th century, the area preserves the traditions of the local Jewish community. Stop to sample Jewish pastries and cakes at the "Pasticceria Boccioni." End in the historic Monteverde Vecchio district outside the Aurelian Walls. Admire stately villas of the 19th century, and experience the community feel of a proud Roman neigborhood. A tour guide is not included, a suggestion may be to bring a guidebook. Remember to check on the website the opening times of the location you want to visit and the price of entrance ticket.
