Full description
Learn little known facts about the Colosseum and ancient Rome from your expert guide on a 3-hour small group tour. Hear stories that bring the ancient amphitheater to life. With skip-the-line access you’ll slip past the crowds to gain immediate access to the Colosseum. Head on to other major sites of the Eternal City. You’ll see the Arch of Constantine and walk the Via Sacra on your way to the Roman Forum, following in the footsteps of Roman soldiers. Once inside the Roman Forum your guide will use visual aids and stories to help you get a better understanding of the ruins before you, recreating the baths, moneylenders, and temples. Next is the Palatine Hill, the birthplace of Rome and the site of the oldest ruins in the city. Let your guide reconstruct the palaces of early emperors in your imagination, and relate tales of scandal, betrayal, and gore. With a maximum of 12 people in your group, it will be easy to hear and interact with your guide. The small group size also makes the tour an excellent option for families, as the guide will have the flexibility to interact more with the children.

Donato was an excellent guide. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and made sure we had the tour we wanted. It is a breathtaking tour! Loved the stories that went with some of the art pieces. I think if you were in a large group you would miss out on so much information.

Fabio was fun and we had no problems been his prisoners for 3 hours. Loved that he had a lightsaber. My 12 year old girl thought he was very funny and very good to explain the things we were looking at. And he made funny faces when he said something ironic. Hope he can be our guide next time we come to Rome.
