Full description
Rome’s famous squares, monuments, fountains and artists offer you the very best attractions on this 2.5-hour afternoon walking tour. Let the Eternal City enchant you as you stroll through its picturesque cobblestone alleyways, and discover some of the world’s most famous sites, such as the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Travel back in time and admire all of the city’s must-see art and architecture, in a single afternoon! Begin in Piazza del Popolo, the traditional northern “door to Rome,” with the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo as the first church that visitors to Rome would see upon entering its gates. The Spanish Steps, with its lively atmosphere and stunning views, bring you down into the winding alleys of the heart of the historic center, where you will encounter the ornate Trevi Fountain. Throw a coin in the fountain and promise to return! Continue with a stop at Piazza Colonna and see the column erected by Marcus Aurelius that is now considered by Romans as the very center of the city. We will also stop at the Pantheon to explore its impressive concrete dome and open oculus. Nearby, visit Piazza Navona to get a close-up view of Bernini’s famous “Fountain of the Four Rivers,” triumphantly marking its ornate center. Finally, you will go to Piazza Navona for a taste of one of the liveliest and most famous piazzas in Rome.

Absolutely wonderful introduction to the great city of Rome!

We had an excellent experience with our guide, Jaber. The pace of the tour was good as we were able to visit the key sites and take photos. Perfect for the traveler who has a limited time but wants to get an experience of the city. The gelato treat at the end was a delight! Headsets make it possible to explore in the vicinity of the group without missing any important history. Definitely would do again! Worth every penny!!

Amazing guide and tour. Terrible directions to meeting point.

Mariza with CityWonders was an amazing, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide! Her heart was fully committed to providing the best tour. We were a group of 10. Great quality headsets and the perfect walking tour of Rome. Highly recommend the company but try not to book through GetYourGuide as the meeting point directions was wrong and we ran back and forth 3km (with a 6 month old baby) making us 25 min late for the tour. Departure was at 3:30 and we were to be 15 min early. We would have been there at 3pm would the meeting location be correct on GetYourGuide. Luckily we were able to get through to citywonders help line and they called the guide for us to ask her to wait. We were also not the only onse that got lost. And 6 more people that were to come along didn’t make it at all. P.s. the free gelato was not a joke!
