Full description
Your guide spent a very long time revising this food walk and after much thought decided to throw the cookbook out of the window, fire all the chefs, and create a food tour like no other. You won't find a more filling food walk in Rome for the price. Your foodie guide is from Rome and she has chosen her favorite snack spots in the historic center. Tastings criss-crosses the River Tiber in the early evening, when views in every direction are magnificent and food stops taken are in many of the most picturesque places in Rome. You can expect to relax and eat the best food Rome has to offer on piazzas, secluded side-streets, and riverside walks. The foods you will eat are as distinctive by region as they are plentiful, as follows: suppli, calzone and pizza, pasta to share (cacio e pepe, carbonara or amatriciana), parmigiana, arrosticini and bruschetta, filetto baccalà, salami with a small glass of wine, ciambellina al vino, tiramisù, coffee, and limoncello.

Julia was just great. Very lovable and with great pleasure, she led us from one culinary experience to the next. Because of the pandemic, we met at 10 o'clock in the morning at Campo dei Fiori instead of in the evening. It felt like she knew everyone who had a booth there. From balsamic vinegar in different degrees of ripeness, to different types of salami and ham, to Parmigiano cheese in different flavors, we went to the bakery Roscioli. There was also water to drink everywhere. The ice cream in the Trastevere district was delicious. Julia always told little anecdotes about the country and its people!
