You can do this tour also by yourself, buying the Cinque Terre train ticket, that is valid 1 day, and you can visit all the 5 villages, not just 3 as in this tour. However, already 3 villages were quite a time stress. Only one hour for each of the first 2 villages. The role of the guide was just to show us the correct train, to call us to get off in the planned station and to say where and what time we should meet for the next train. But OK, we at least did not have to think. The history given by the guide was very brief, not so many facts. The program in the villages was totally free. I liked them very much, their special atmosphere. We had finally time to spend at least 1,5 hour at the beach in Monterosso, the swimming in he sea was perfect after the hot day. Take your swimming suit with you! Limoncino tasting was nothing special, just a visit in a vine shop.
Amazing tour with Eva who was the most informative and gracious tour host. Eva looked after our small group and spoke English very well, as well as fluent Italian and Spanish. I had such a fun day even though it rained a little bit and was overcast. The train rides between each town were well timed by Eva and she always looked out for our safety at all times! I highly recommend going on this tour, value for money and tour precious holiday time!
Perfect day out. So nice to see Cinque Terre this way so you do not have to worry about what train to get and where the best places to see are and where to take pictures. Luca was such a great guide- great English, knowledgable and friendly. The tour didn’t feel rushed at all and I had spare time after it finished and could use my ticket to see one of the other villages. I would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide Julia was excellent, she was waiting outside the cruise terminal as planned, explained the plan for the day including the walk through LaSpezia which is beautiful on way to train station, we enjoyed our day touring Cinque Terre which was a lot of walking but well worth it. The train can be crowded, but it is short time between stops and bit of fun.
Alex was wonderful and really looked after us. We would have enjoyed a bit more time at the biggest village to wander around but overall the tour was fantastic
