Didnt quite know what to expect but really enjoyed myself . Cross section of age ranges and met some nice people . Lapa was buzzing . We went to pubs that you wouldnt have attempted to go in on your own . Guide was excellent . He really looked after the group . Would recommend this night out .

In spite of a slow start and the size of the group (20-25?) it turned out to be a very good night out! A nice experience especially for those solo travellers who might not wonder out on their own or those who want to meet people from all over the world. It did what it said on the tin: starting from the cachaça social club (Viva cachaça!) we bar hopped in Lapa, drank the best and cheapest caipirinhas from street vendors and ended up dancing with the locals and, bizarrely, an entire hen party until dawn.

Our guide's name was Isabella and we started off at a bar where they taught us the process of making Chacaca. The sugar can juice they had us taste was pleasantly good. The night was fun overall as we were able to meet other travelers from different parts of the world and we ended the night at a Samba club where the music was fantastic and I learned how to Samba a little.
