Want to Samba but have no dance experience? Learn basic Samba moves that you can use in all types of dance in a 1 hour dance crash course! This Samba lesson in Rio is a fun and entertaining time, and lets you experience the true culture of Rio. The student chooses the kind of dance – Samba no pé (solo Samba), or Samba de Gafiera (partner Samba) – that he or she wants to learn, and participates in one or more private lessons of the chosen style. The private Samba lessons are divided into about 90% practical and 10% theoretical. The Samba Lesson is lots of fun and you'll find yourself dancing away after the first class. The teacher will explain how this type of dance fits into Brazil’s cultural history as well as Rio’s current night life. Enjoy a 60-minute dance crash course, and you'll be sure to feel the energy of Samba. After that, you'll be able to go out and practice your new moves in the city's bustling dance clubs.

2. Copacabana: 4-Hour Brazilian Cooking Class with 7 Recipes

Learn to make the delicious Brazilian food you love yourself, from simple recipes using ingredients found worldwide with this fun, hands-on cooking class in Copacabana. Choose from 2 mouth-watering menus (vegetarian menu available as well), and make your own delicious Brazilian meals and traditional cocktails. Choose the Bahian Seafood Moqueca menu to learn how to make Moqueca, a seafood coconut stew, and cassava sticks, or Aipim Frito. You'll wash these dishes down with 2 different Brazilian cocktails: the famous Caipirinha, made with limes, and Batida de Coco, a coconut cocktail. Feijoada, a black bean and meat stew, is the main dish of your 2nd menu choice. Gain enough confidence to head out to Rio's samba nights right after the class and mingle with the locals. Be guided through the moves by an experienced dance teacher, Bruno, who has been leading dance classes since 2006. After mastering samba, he made it his mission to develop a method of teaching that makes samba easier to learn for everyone. Spend an hour with Bruno and have fun unlocking the mysteries of solo samba, the Samba-No-Pé.  Then, head together to a samba club in Lapa.
