It is an awesome day trip. Monastery is beautiful and an hour and half is enough to see everything. Bus ride was very comfortable and our guide Filip was great, speaking very good spanish and english. He gave us lots of informations, not only on monastery and Boyana church but also about Bulgar history, culture and food. We had great time, very good lunch and we highly recommend it.

This is a great way to see the the Rila Monastery! I liked that it included the History Museum - several locals told me it was the best history museum in Sofia, but as it's a bit out of town, this was a really effortless way to get there. My only negative is that they don't really build in time for lunch. Plan to bring snacks!

If you are in the area of Sofia, you cannot miss the Rila Monastery and the Boyana Church. Get your guide will take you to these enchanting places with a competent and very clear guide service. Excellent value for money.

Really beautiful tour with our guide, Bobby, that gave us some information about the monastery. He is a really funny and kind person and I recommend this experience when in Sofia!

Wonderful place, excellent guide! It's worth it!
