Board the speed boat at Hells Canyon Creek Visitor Center and Boat Launch, one mile below Hells Canyon Dam on the Oregon side of the Snake River. Set off on a 54-mile round trip through the Wild River Section of the canyon. Expect to see rock walls, desert grasslands, and alpine forests, all on the same trip. Listen to the captain as they regale you with stories about the early Native Americans who inhabited this area and the ranching families that have called Hells Canyon home over the years. Keep your eyes open for wildlife such as bald eagles, black bears, deer, and bighorn sheep. Take advantage of the endless photo opportunities and guaranteed memory-making moments. Meet at the south entrance into Hells Canyon of Hells Canyon Creek Visitor Center and Launch Site. When you arrive at the Hells Canyon Dam you will drive across it and 1 mile North to the Hells Canyon Creek Visitor Center and Launch Site. Park your car in the large secure parking lot.
