It was a good hike. Was windy in the volcano. There was no lava which is not the tour guide’s fault but I felt like the hike was longer than the observation period. It felt rushed. Maybe only about 15-20 minutes so we weren’t really able to enjoy it so much. We had more time for lunch than the volcano The blue lagoon was great! Nothing else I could say. It’s the perfect way to cap off the tiring day.

Tour was great, good guide and bus driver. Downside was that we were not picked up at our hotel. We had to drive to a gas station and leave the car there. Fine no problem we had a car. However, after we had swam in the Blue lagoon, we were picked up by bus and dropped off at a completely different location.!! Our guide was Anna, she was a great speaker with lots enthusiasm and energy. She was very engaging and went above and beyond to educate us about our tour, the Volcano itself as well as Iceland in general. The hike is a moderate level hike imo, certainly not easy as there is a large portion of very rough terrain. It took about 1.5 hours each way to get to the site.
