Full description
Leaving from Reykjavik’s old harbor, you’ll sail in style on the Andrea, the largest whale-watching ship in Iceland. In the summer, you can also join an express tour on a faster express whale watching boat. The waters off Reykjavik are rich with aquatic life. Most commonly spotted creatures are minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises – and even humpback whales. The Andrea features spacious public viewing areas as well as a deck that offers fantastic 360-degree views of the stunning environment. There’s a café on board that serves a range of refreshments and a souvenir shop. The experience is built on a special Educational focus, with a microscope, baleens, and whale teeth on board for passengers to learn about the whales and other sea life. Humpback Whales are often spotted from the boat as well as Minke Whales, White Beaked Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and occasionally Orcas. Knowledgeable guides are available to answer any questions you may have and to help you spot these wonderful creatures of the deep.

Iga, our host was fantastic, well-informed, warm and chatty and not a little eccentric. Several times she sang to the whales through the PA system and every time they appeared near the boat. I have no idea what sleight of hand she was using, but we saw 3 humpbacks repeatedly over 30 minutes. Magical excursion that I’ll never forget. Thanks Iga!

An amazing day out at sea! We were very lucky that we had a clear, calm and sunny day in Reykjavik - perfect weather to see the whales! We saw 2 minke whales, dolphins and 3 humpback whales! Iga was a great tour guide with lots of knowledge about the whales! Highly recommend

Well organized tour, very nice boat with different whale infographics and good and cheap bar. Our guide, Iga, was engaging and explained a lot to us both during the sighting and on the return trip. We were lucky: we saw a humpback whale (the largest whale that can be seen in Iceland) and 3 dolphins! Don't worry about the environmental impact: they don't use sonar so they don't disturb the whales. Finally, if you suffer from seasickness do not underestimate the tour (in any case, they give tablets for free to those who need them on the boat)
