Full description

See the Golden Circle on a guided day trip from Reykjavik. Admire the incredible landscapes with stops at Thingvellir, the Gullfoss waterfall, the springs of Geysir, and the volcanic crater of Kerid. During your day, witness the best of Iceland. At Thingvellir, see the birthplace of the Icelandic nation, as well as the foundation site of the first Viking Parliament or Alþingi and visit the visual rift between the Eurasian and American Continents.

Explore the impressive waterfall Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most beautiful sights. It is not a coincidence that its name translates as the Golden Waterfall. This is all followed by a visit to the Geysir geothermal area, where the hot spring Strokkur erupts every 3-7 minutes. Geysir's hot spring's neighbor, Strokkur, will blow steam high in the air a few times per hour for your delight.

To finish the day, marvel at the volcanic crater of Kerid, filled with a milky blue-green lake.

Our golden circle tour was such a great day! Oscar our tour guide was really informative and friendly, he also took us to some additional stop off points on the way as the sun came out for a bit which were beautiful. The tomato farm where we ended was a great surprise as the food and tomato mulled wine was delicious. Really great day and we look forward to coming back to Iceland and doing some more tours with Oscar.

Superb day trip from Reykjavik, covering the main sights of the Golden Circle. The trip was the right duration, crampons were provided due to the ice and we had a terrific guide in DAGUR; who happened to be an expert on Icelandic history, politics, geology, geography, culture and just about anything else! He made it a highly entertaining trip, we would recommend this tour.

I enjoyed this trip. Unlike other tours most time is spent at the points of interest, rather than on the bus. The bus was comfortable enough for the trip and our guide was really lovely and had lots of interesting information to tell us whilst he was driving us around (he was called Wally I think!). He also had crampons available for us to use whilst walking around the volcano, geysir and waterfall and national park as it was slippy which we thought was great. We were picked up promptly and got back to reykjavik at 16:30. Was a great tour in my opinion and decent value for money
